In its first attempt to promote and develop the culture of technical skills among the educated unemployed youth, the students of KMTTMI, Samunder Bagh, Sgr. a private. ITI working under The Directorate of Skill Development and affiliated with Director Technical Education Department) in this regard, a Technical visit cum Workshop, was concluded on 16th of March 2022 at National  Institute of Technology Hazratbal, Srinagar. The students were very happy to visit this prestigious institute, situated at the bank of world famous Dal Lake and with a Picaresque view of the Harmukh in the background. They showed their utmost interest in acquiring the technical knowledge and skill possessed by the employees of central workshop of NIT. The workshop is fully equipped with the state of the art infrastructure, besides the Traditional Technical Art of Foundry trade existing from the dawn of civilization, the CNC Lathes and other computerized Machinery available their can definitely boost the concept of “SKILL INDIA”. Our students have shown their interest in each technical trade and visualized the benefits of these best facilities. The instructional staff present was very cordial and cooperative in demonstrating their professional technical skills. Our students were told that these facilities are being utilized by the undergraduate, postgraduate and research engineering students. One of the new ventures to develop and demonstrate the technical creative ability among the school-going students, is”The TIRING’ section recently established in the workshop. It is the best tool to develop the technical instincts among the KIDS as well, for which the authorities definitely deserve praise and appreciation.
